☄ First Public Appearance by Mike of 2017: ☄

Steve Wickham's 'Beekeeper' Launch - Sugar Club - May 11th

Mike Scott made his first public appearance of 2017 at the 'Beekeeper' album launch by Steve in the Sugar Club, Dublin. He guested on the Robert Frost penned 'Stopping by Woods' with a superb vocal and some great ad-lib improvisation as only Mike can do.

Earlier, Ex Watergirl Katie Kim also guested on 'The Band Played On' to start proceedings.

It was a really marvellous show with several other guests appearing including the Lost Brothers.

☄ Carrick On Shannon, County Leitrim 16 July ☄

A really wonderful show in Carrick. The new five piece with Aongus Ralston on Bass, have a real edgy sound. It was a gig filled with hightlights throughout.

The guitar-driven 'How Long Will I Love You' really shone in this new arrangement, and 'Fisherman's Blues' with its punchy bass line and beat, is a song reborn! New song 'Connemara Fox' is a tour de force!

Although 'Celebrate' (a cover of Anderson Paak) was on the set list it was not played. But Mike did treat us to a burst of 'Hang On Sloopy' before a raucous and blazing 'Long Strange Golden Road' closed what was an outstanding show.
